10. Chicago, IL
As the third most populous city in the United States, Chicago offers an abundance of activities for local singles to indulge in from dates over deep dish to boozing in the Headquarters Beercade. While it may have come in last on our list, it came in second for the most nightlife options index after New York City (869 out of 1,000) and it has the most affordable median rental rates. If you prefer the outdoors, head to the completely free Lincoln Park Zoo or the up the upcoming Taste of Chicago (debuting in July), a four day festival that showcases Chicago’s diverse dining scene while enjoying Grant Park’s magnificent lakefront view.

9. Jersey City, NJ
