All moved in to your dog-friendly Dallas apartment? After weeks of living around boxes and only short walks outside, your pooch must be ready for some Texas-sized fun. Here are some great Dallas locales for you and your pup:

Wagging Tail Dog Park

Dallas folks love this dog park. The City of Dallas has done a very nice job manicuring this green space where puppies can roam free off leash. Located in North Dallas, there is a regular morning local crowd that is a pretty friendly bunch. The parking lot separates the big dogs from the little ones and has plenty of water for both.  If you are driving, take some extra time to get there as the parking lot does fill up. Bring baggies–Dallas has strict fines for not cleaning up after your pet.

Urban Dogg

Over in East Dallas, there is a small boutique called Urban Dogg where you can get Fido all decked out or just a regular trim. There are both staff appointments or you can do it yourself. After 10 washes, you get a free one. What a great deal! This boutique goes all-natural–in addition to specialty shampoos, they also have organic foods and treats.

The Dream Café

In Addison, there is a fun spot to brunch with your four-legged friend. When you sit with your pooch, it is customary for the wait staff to bring of bowl of water. There are benedicts, pancakes and scrambles. You can even get vegan options.  During the week, pop on by for wine tasting and specials. Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings feature live jazz.

Lucky Dog Barkery

This University Park locale serves up all of your necessary pet supplies.  They pride themselves on matching up your pet with the best diet and have a wide variety of specialty dog foods. They even have a nearby holistic veterinarian for a dietary referral. There are also wholesome, organic foods based on favorites like Turducken and Grammy’s Pot Pie. There are also stylish clothes, collars and beds. No dog leaves the Barkery without a biscuit.
