Put gorgeous greenery on display in your apartment by repurposing an old wine bottle into a lengthwise planter. Fill it with a variety of succulents or some spring flowers to bring a splash of color into your home.

  1. Using a regular glass cutter, make a scoreline indicating exactly where you would like to create the opening in your wine bottle.
  2. Using a teapot filled with hot water, slowly pour the water all over the entire bottle to heat it up.
  3. Once it starts to heat up, run cold water over the bottle.
  4. Start adding more hot water to let the heat build up. Your glass will crack right on the scoreline that you’ve created.
